Tony Kan's relative experience includes the development and implementation of design solutions. These successful solutions creatively address the functional needs of facility users, phased construction priorities of owners and developers, and the specific requirements of local codes and regulations. Mr. Kan's lead design experience extends over 25 years and includes project management and technical lead responsibilities for the design of numerous governmental agency and institutional projects. Incorporating a strong quality assurance program, design concept overview, contract administration, and providing overall technical support -- Mr. Kan has guided KANRAD Engineering project teams to the successful completion of 40+ U.S. Navy Public Works Center projects in just five years.
Mr. Kan's experience includes several fast-track projects and projects requiring extensive coordination between military facility commands, public agencies, and utility service firms. He brings essential knowledge of the challenges of renovating and upgrading existing facilities, and the performance of utility infrastructure improvements within an operational environment. He possesses a keen, practical knowledge of applicable design guidelines, specifically those established by various municipal planning and building departments, several utility companies, and the State of California -- including Title 24 Life Safety and Energy Conservation requirements.
